Measures to prevent stress corrosion cracking of welded joints of stainless steel storage tanks
In the production of stainless steel storage tanks, stress corrosion cracking of stainless steel welded joints is a relatively serious failure form of welded joints, which will affect the quality of equipment. The main preventive measures are:
(1) Reasonably formulate molding and assembly processes, minimize cold work deformation, avoid forced assembly, and prevent various scars during assembly.
(2) Appropriate welding processes are adopted in the production of stainless steel tanks to ensure that the welds are well formed without any stress concentration or pitting defects, such as undercuts, excessive weld heights, and pollution caused by splashes on the base metal.
(3) The production of stainless steel storage tanks adopts a reasonable welding sequence to reduce the level of welding residual stress.
