Technical Characteristics for Construction
The freeze dryer is composed of chamber, shelf, vapor condenser, trays, vacuum system, heating system, refrigeration system, defrost system and control system. The following systems or components are integrity as a whole, ready for running at user's site.
I. Chamber
The chamber is the place where freeze drying process occurred. The chamber, doors are constructed in SUS304 stainless steel. The chamber contains both the product shelves and the vapor condenser in side. The chamber is fitted with valves of vacuum line connection, drain, water defrost and vacuum release. The cylindrical shaped chamber has two doors - one at each end. The one is for products loading/ unloading; the other is at the condenser end if the vapor condenser is located at the rear part of the chamber. The doors have an opening angle of 110 degree. The hinges will be either left or right hand side, to be specified by the customer. Closing is by means of four quick acting latches. Each door has viewing port. The frame of viewing ports is made of 304 stainless steel and toughened glass window, to allow visual monitoring of both the vapor condenser and product.
II. Shelf
The shelf is made of aluminum after oxidation treatment for heating transfer; the efficiency is over 10 times higher than stainless steel. So, it will save much more energy on product heating. The product freezes is in an IQF, the top plate providing radiant heat only. The product is placed in trays, and loaded into the trolley and suspended between shelves in the freeze dryer. The shelves have a flat upper side and heating fluid channels inside. The shelves will be given 10 bars pressure for one week pressure maintaining, where the working pressure is 2 bars.
III. Product trays
The product trays are made of aluminum after oxidation treatment, non-poisonous for high efficiency heating transfer. The corner is round, no harmful to hands. The designed capacity is 10kg per square meter. The left is tray and the right is trolley.
